เหล็ก Cut-Beam เกิดจากการนำเหล็ก เอชบีม H-beam มาตัดกลางที่เอว Web ซึ่งจะทำให้ได้เหล็ก Cut-Beam 2 ตัวที่เท่ากัน ซึ่งนิยมนำไปใช้ในงานโครงหลังคาประเภทโครงถัก (Truss)) เพื่อเป็นการลดงานของผู้ออกแบบ และผู้รับเหมาก่อสร้างที่เดิมจะใช้เหล็กฉาก 2 ตัวมาเชื่อม หรือขันน๊อตร่วมกับ Gusset Plate เพื่อยึดติดกัน
